Elevated gravel flow technique tray systems for home growers
The FlowGrow Hydroponics GFT growing system is a complete hydroponics system which gives all the benefits and advantages of the gravel flow technique in a neat ready to use package. It will produce nutritious fresh vegetables, salads and herbs. It is quick and easy to set up and is simple and inexpensive to run. It is available in complete systems of two or four square metre growing space, and as a tray module for bigger systems.
Divided down the centre to give 2 channels each 2000 mm x 500 mm. It is a one piece stress free moulding made from durable UV protected polyethylene. The colour is white.
Aluminium support table with height adjustable feet for table levelling. Designed to hold 200 kg weight.
PVC tray feed manifolds.
Large waste fittings ensure free return flow and reduce blockages. PVC return manifold with single waste valve for rain management. Tank to tray hoses with push pull connectors.
50 or 100 litre durable UV protected polyethylene tank with loose lid. The colour is green.
The tanks include: Swirl inlet manifold - water mains inlet creates a swirl in the tank to mix the nutrient, pump feed manifold, nutrient pump - 220v watertight synchronous motor with magnetic centrifugal mechanism and a 10m 3 core (earthed) cable.
The single tray system has one tray giving two square metres of gravel bed. It uses a 50 litre tank. It is a complete and ready to use system. It requires 176kg of gravel medium (8 bags). The system is big enough for singles and small families to grow a lot of their own fresh vegetables, salads and herbs. It requires a level area of approximately 3m x 2m to allow space for the tank, and for working space around it.
The double tray system has two trays giving four square metres of gravel bed. It uses a 100 litre tank. It is a complete and ready to use system. It requires 352kg of gravel medium (16 bags). The system is big enough for larger families to grow a lot of their own fresh vegetables, salads and herbs. It requires a level area of approximately 5m x 2m to allow space for the tank, and for working space around it.
The tray module is designed to be used in multiples to create bigger systems. It is not a complete system by itself. Any number can be used with a single tank and pump. The size of the tank and pump would be determined by the number of trays in the system. They come complete with the support table, and inlet manifolds designed to be joined together and supplied from the common tank using 20 mm ldpe piping. The outlet manifolds are designed to be joined together to return the nutrient solution to the tank using 25 mm ldpe piping. Each tray provides two square metres of growing space. For small commercial systems (up to 50 sq m) the trays offer a viable alternative to the conventional pvc plastic ground lay GFT systems as described on our commercial ground lay systems page.
Excludes common tank, pump and piping.
